It’s been far too long since the last update! Let’s start with the changes ’round here. Aaron has decided to focus on dirt biking, and he was also our web guy (hence no updates). We wish him well and so far he has been doing great in local competitions.
Filling his boots is the up and coming Matt Bush. a local stunter from Whiterock. Matt has done many shows with us and proved to be a great all-round team mate, with a sick bag of tricks; Matt also has great mechanical ability and a fantastic positive attitude. We are very excited to have him on board for the 2013 season!
Matt will also take over the web end of things so you can look forward to some really exciting stuff in the near future. Team-wise we had a very busy 2012 season, more info on that to come as well. One of our most notable accomplishments this season was landing a segment on the Discovery Channel’s Daily Planet. Link to follow shortly!
Packing up and gettin ready to ride the Sturgis North event once again.. this is huge motorcycle rally being held for a second year now, this time in Vernon, BC at the local raceway. Many amazing bands will be playing, lots of awesome booths to see and most importantly, thousands upon thousands of really fun and friendly bikers will be there all partying for the 5 day duration! More info here:
We have some tix left for sale at an amazing price so if you need some get in touch asap at 778 895 3536. Hope to see you there!
Just got confirmation, after a year of bad weather and poor timing, that we have the green light to finally film a stunt-related segment with the Discovery Channel. Pretty exciting stuff! They will be joining us at the Vancouver Men’s Show this weekend. Stay tuned for airing dates!
Ok! We are long overdue for an update here.. things have been really busy! A few weeks back we rode at Donegal’s annual show n shine. Thanks to Stacey Stone for putting that one together. Was a beautiful, sunny day.. and there were lots of really well put together custom bikes. We had a great time!
This upcoming weekend of June 15-17 we will be riding at the annual Vancouver Men’s Show at the Tradex in Abbotsford. It caters to men and has all sorts of interesting stuff to check out that all us men love.. this is an event you will NOT want to miss.. some of the features include:
- rock crawler demo
-sportbike freestyle stunt show
and LOTS more.. check out the website:
We are also fortunate enough to have Bill “Hillbilly” Hitchon riding his quad this weekend.. he is a madman and will TEAR up the lot! Very excited to have him on board..
Last weekend we had the pleasure of taking part in Willingdon Church’s annual “biker blessing” event. It kicked off the year putting out positive energy into the universe regarding motorcycling, and there other bike-related topics such as de-winterization that were discussed at length. As well, there was a detailing seminar to help people get their rides nice and shiny. The rest of the time people poked around, chatted, discussed bike stuff and exchanged stories while soaking up the sunshine that was beating down on us.. hopefully a sign of what’s to come this summer. Because of the small riding area, Matty and Mikey brought their bikes to do a small show.. and after Mikey dislocated his thumb in the beginning of the show, Matty came through and kept every single person there entertained. Well done Matty, and thanks to Willingdon Church for having us.. it was a great time! See you next year..
things tend to get a lil sleepy over winter.. but spring is almost here and we are winding up for a very busy summer. there is some availability in may and august, but june/july are fully booked so if you’d like us to perform at your event, now’s the time to get in touch! contact info can be found on our contact page
Our resident photographer Mark Whitehead is heading out with Aaron and Mikey to take some pics of our new wraps (courtesy of www.vehicle-graphics.ca) .. check back soon to see them!
Well.. the show was a resounding success! Mother nature did her best to put a fly in the ointment but nobody would have it. Most of the events went on as scheduled.. we’re not going to lie.. our show was a lot more difficult than riding in sunny, dry weather but we pulled it off and the fans loved it! We signed and handed out every single poster that we brought, and Saturnin’s DVD Throttle Trauma 3 was sold out. For those that asked about where to buy it, as promised, you can get it here: http://www.asphaltjunkiez.com
Our resident photographer Mark Whitehead of http://www.gettheshot.ca came out and took some amazing pics.. I’ll post those up later once he has gone through them all. We were fortunate enough to land the booth area with the highest traffic so there will also be some great pics from not just the show but the event space as well. Lots to look forward to!
Many thanks to Nanette Jacques, Jenny Duncan, Nancy ,Caroline Bray, Bill Hitchon, HollywoodB, Dave Hobley, the Amsoil Girls, and all the others who made this event happen, particularly those people who volunteered their time and were outside in the snow and crappy weather helping prepare our riding area and the track for the other shows.. without you it couldn’t have happened. And of course.. thanks to the fans and event-goers who came out.. in the end it’s all about you guys! Cheers!
I almost forgot.. if you attended and caught any good pictures and/or video footage of us we’d love to see it.. please email all submissions to firstname.lastname@example.org
